Design Week Lithuania is an annual event dedicated to the synthesis of insightful solutions, original ideas and professional performance, while at the same time highlighting the value of good design. Over the last decade the festival has become a regular fixture and the country’s biggest design event, organised by the Lithuanian Design Forum since 2006.
In 2018, the festival stages its 13th edition, inviting designers, companies and educational institutions to present their latest projects to creative and curious audiences.
As usual, the festival’s events are taking place in six cities in Lithuania – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Telšiai and Anykščiai, throughout the week of May 7-13.
Interpreting this year’s theme – spaces – the participants have prepared a variety of exhibitions, pop-up showcases, creative workshops, discussions and lots more to discover this May.
Marking the Centenary of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania, some more attention is being focused on the best that has been created here. So a series of events and exhibitions reviewing Lithuanian design will be open to the public during the festival.
What’s more, the trend to discuss eco-design and the circular economy is still very relevant this year, encouraging us to keep our environment safe and sustainable.
Finally, we are more than happy to share this full program of Design Week Lithuania 2018 – hopefully there will be plenty worth experiencing!
During Design Week Lithuania you are about to enjoy:
Events – exhibitions, workshops, conferences, discussions, open evenings and other varied events organised by the participants of the festival.
Showrooms – visit shops, studios and pop-up exhibitions to learn more about certain products by various companies and brands.
Designer’s window – pop-up design displays installed in the windows of shops or cafés located in the city centres.
