Throughout her time at Design Museum Holon, Dvash has curated a vast array of design exhibitions and written on design for numerous platforms. In addition to her functions as editor, curator, and writer, Dvash lectures at leading design academies in Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to her career at Design Museum Holon, Dvash held various leading editorial positions in some of the top-tier publishing houses in Israel (\u201cKinneret\u201d, \u201cZmora-Bitan\u201d, and \u201cModan\u201d). Dvash was then appointed Chief Editor of \u201cBinyan v\u2019Diyur\u201d (Building &amp; Housing) magazine, a seat she filled for six years.<\/p>\n<p>Dvash holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Literature and a Master\u2019s degree in Art and Curatorship from Ben Gurion University. The years before, Uwe was part of the management team of the \u201cPRO Division of Sennheiser Electronics\u201d, one of the world&#8217;s most important headphone and microphone manufacturers. Since 2001, in various positions ranging from Head of New Media and Director Global Marketing Communications to Director of \u201cAMBEO Immersive Audio\u201d and Managing Director of the subsidiary \u201cDear Reality\u201d, he has been instrumental in driving forward developments in the 3D audio business. From the beginning of his career, starting in 1998 as Project Leader New Media for the \u201cEXPO 2000\u201d in Hannover, the topics of digitalization, transformation, business development, innovation, and design have been at the center of his successful entrepreneurial activities and will be considered in his position at \u201ciF Design\u201d as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201ciF International Forum Design GmbH\u201d, based in Hannover, is one of the world&#8217;s leading independent design institutions. It has hosted the \u201ciF Design Awards\u201d every year since 1954. With around 10,000 submissions from around 60 countries every year, it is one of the largest and most prestigious design awards in the world. \u201ciF Design\u201d has subsidiaries in China, the Republic of China Taiwan, and South Korea. Art historian, graduate of the University of Amsterdam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am a journalist and a critic; currently working as the editor in chief of \u201cOns Amsterdam, a monthly devoted to the history of Amsterdam. I write reviews for \u201cDe Groene Amsterdammer and several other magazines, mostly about the arts, exhibitions, and design.<\/p>\n<p>Between 2008 and 2018 I was involved in two Master\u2019s programs at Design Academy Eindhoven &#8211;\u00a0Contextual Design and Design Curating and Writing &#8211; specifically to mentor students in doing research and writing a thesis. I did similar work at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, dept. of photography.<\/p>\n<p>Following on from the work in Eindhoven I organized three design summer schools in Lithuania, in close cooperation with the Vilnius Art Academy.<\/p>\n<p>Before and after that I worked all over the place. Over the past decade, they have developed a unique research methodology that transforms local clay and sand into ceramic and glass objects that analyze the hidden qualities and narratives of the earth. Their work calls for an expanded valuation of local sourcing and production by focusing on the graceful subtleties of the natural world and how the integration of local earth products into daily life is a critical step towards greater environmental balance.<\/p>\n<p><em>Presentation: <\/em><strong>\u201e<\/strong><strong>Think Global, Dig Local\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This speech will teach about the methodology and philosophy of \u201cAtelier NL\u201d. By sharing their own experience and perspective, this lecture will reveal how a deeper relationship with materials can improve humanity\u2019s approach to the environment as a whole. What can local raw materials teach us about a place and how can familiarity with origins encourage wiser utilization of resources? \u201cAtelier NL\u201d emphasizes the link between raw materials, their origins, and new possibilities.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Anat Safran<\/strong> \u2013 designer, curator, and the artistic director of the \u201cJerusalem Design Week\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Ecole sup\u00e9rieure des arts d\u00e9coratifs de Strasbourg, France, Anat is a designer, curator, and artistic director of various cultural projects such as: \u201cPechaKucha Tel Aviv\u201d (a leading cultural event in Tel Aviv since 2007), co-creator and curator of the \u201cSensing Sound\u201d exhibition at the Holon Design Museum, curator of \u201cRafsoda\u201d (nomadic project for young Israeli designers that has traveled to Paris and Tokyo), co-creator of the \u201cGnuzim\u201d project with theatre group \u201cItim Ensemble\u201d, co-creator of \u201cMirrored Cities\u201d \u2013 a sound project between Tel Aviv and Berlin, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2016, Anat is the artistic director of the \u201cJerusalem Design Week\u201d at the Hansen House.<\/p>\n<p>Member of \u201cEdmond the Rothschild Design Award\u201d steering committee and a member of the Arts Council of the Israel State Lottery since 2014 where she currently\u00a0serves as Head of the Visual Arts and Design Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Anat has published articles in various magazines, newspapers, and blogs and is invited to talks in academies and cultural events in Israel and abroad.<\/p>\n<p><em>Take part in the discussion: <strong>\u201cCan good design be combined with sustainability &amp; social responsibility? Israel, 1981) is a\u00a0designer, researcher and\u00a0curator\u00a0who explores issues of political change, institutional critique, and contemporary forms of resistance.\u00a0Erez\u2019s research methodology encompasses both the production of objects and text: situated between theory and\u00a0praxis.\u00a0Tal\u00a0has exhibited internationally with the Israeli pavilion exhibition at the venice architecture biennale (Aircraft Carrier, 2012-13), Droog Design (Design for download, 2011, 2013), Z33, House for contemporary art and design (The Machine, 2012; Design beyond production, 2013), and La Terrasse (2015-16) amongst others.\u00a0A\u00a0research fellow at Het Nieuwe Instituut (NL), Tal was the\u00a0curator\u00a0of the exhibition Plastic: Promises of a Home Made Future which ran in Rotterdam January-April 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2016,\u00a0Tal\u00a0functions as chief\u00a0curator\u00a0for the Jerusalem Design Week.<\/p>\n<p>Tal\u00a0holds degrees from the Holon Institute of Technology (IL) and the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL, Cum Laude). She\u2019s a former Executive Director of the Lithuanian Design Forum which is a non-governmental design promotion organization bridging designers with the industry. Audrone had been responsible for the management of Design Week Lithuania, the biggest design festival in the Baltics happening from 2006 in six cities at the same time. A graduate of Vilnius Academy of Arts with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Industrial Design and a Master\u2019s in Cultural Management and Policy, Audrone works there as a visiting lecturer.
