DESIGN WEEK LITHUANIA 2019 | Call for applications

May 6 – 12 already 14th edition of DESIGN WEEK LITHUANIA festival will take place in order to gather Lithuanian design community and present the latest projects to creative and curious audience of the festival. As usually, the events of the festival will occur at six cities of Lithuania – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, Telsiai and Anyksciai.

Till March 1st the festival is waiting for applications from various designers as well as companies that are willing to present their latest ideas.

For Lithuanian participants – applications are accepted in the online form: www.dizainosavaite.lt/paraiska.

Festival is open for various participants: designers (product, graphic, fashion, textile, furniture, interior design professionals and amateurs), educational institutions, photographers, boutiques, brands, businesses, etc.

There are three main forms of participation.

D E S I G N E R ’ S   W I N D O W

Opportunity for young designers to showcase their designs in the windows of shops and cafes located in the city center. Duration of the exposition is 7 days. Participation fee per one window is 50 Eur.

The windows are distributed by the organizer when registration of applications is over, depending on the specifics of the exhibit and preferences of the participant.

Till March 1st we are inviting owners of the windows to suggest their spaces for design expositions via email: info@dizainosavaite.lt.

 

C O M M E R C I A L   E X P O S I T I O N

Presentation of various companies that are selling design items or services. Commercial expositions can be installed in windows of cafes or stores as well as in showrooms.

Duration of the exposition is 7 days. Participation fee for one exposition is 242 Eur.

 

E V E N T

Exhibitions, workshops, conferences, discussions, open evenings and other varied events organized by the participants of the festival. Participation fee for one event is 484 Eur.

 

• All the events and exhibitions will be included in the official program of the festival as well as provided with promotional material (festival sticker, leaflets, poster, etc.).
• A minimum participation fee of 50 Eur will apply to educational institutions.
• Members of the Lithuanian Design Forum gets a 50% discount for participation fee.

Theme and color

It’s already a tradition that each year DESIGN WEEK LITHUANIA festival announces a new theme and color.

Thanks to our Facebook followers, in 2019 it is ink blue.

What is more, the theme of this year is “progress”. This spring we rely on novelties and variety – let’s focus on recent achievements, progress and innovation. No boundaries are set. Instead – we strive to expand the concept of design, to provide some space not only for aesthetics and performance, but also for insightful functionality and future solutions.
